A high-throughput SNP genotyping of a panel of diverse wheat lines, expression analysis, TILLING and next generation sequencing will be used to identify and characterize candidate genes. Successful candidate will collaborate with a group of wheat researchers developing the physical map of wheat genome in characterization of genomic regions harboring agronomically important genes. He or she will also be involved in development of wheat SNP resources from the sequence data generated using the GS FLX (454) sequencing platform.
