Applications are invited for a post-doctoral position to work on association genetic analysis in barley. The applicant will join a team of European researchers in a European network using cultivated, landrace and wild barley to study genomic diversity and identify useful traits for breeding applications. Applicants should have a biological research background and experience in one or more of the following: molecular genetic analysis, bioinformatics, population genetics, quantitative genetics. This position is funded by the UK Biotechnology & Biological Sciences Research Council (BBSRC) and is available for 2 years in the first instance, starting around January 2009 or by agreement.
